California's New Year Getaway - Itinerary
Travel to sunny Southern California for an unforgettable New Year’s adventure. Take in the joyful “Glory of Christmas” show, an elaborate Broadway-style production at the well-known Crystal Cathedral.
Ring in 2008 with a toast at a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. Then on New Year’s Day, attend the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, a grand tradition that has been in place for over a century. At its debut in 1890, there were approximately 2,000 spectators – today more than one million people line the parade route. Enjoy the prime view offered by your special reserved seats as you admire the floats, bands, and other colorful entries. Conclude your New Year adventure with a special farewell dinner and evening of live entertainment.

Day 1 - Arrive Long Beach, California
Ring in the New Year in style with Collette’s ever-popular tour featuring the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Day 2 - Float Viewing
This morning you travel to Pasadena for a day combining the excitement of the season with fun-filled activities surrounding the Tournament of Roses. You’ll have an opportunity to view the floats as the decorating committee is putting on their final touches; attend Bandfest, featuring prize-winning bands, giving you a chance to see these talented musicians, dancers and auxiliary performers in action. Your evening includes tickets to the amazing “Glory of Christmas Show”* at the Crystal Cathedral. (B, D)
Day 3 - Day at Leisure - New Year’s Eve Party
The day is yours to explore the area independently or you may choose to purchase one of the many options that will be offered. After an exciting day, get ready for tonight’s New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner Dance, with live entertainment and a champagne toast to the New Year. (B, D)
Day 4 - Pasadena
Happy New Year! Welcome to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, a grand tradition each New Year’s day since 1890. When the parade debuted, 2,000 citizens were on hand to witness history in the making. Today, more than 1 million spectators line the parade route. As Collette's guest, you will join them with reserved seating for prime viewing. After the parade, the remainder of your day is at leisure. Tonight, enjoy another evening of spectacular live entertainment carefully orchestrated just for you. (B, D)
