Wonders of Iceland - Itinerary

ReykjavikSee all that Iceland has to offer – from geysers and hot springs to thundering waterfalls and dramatic lava fields.  Thanks to the Gulf Stream Iceland enjoys a relatively temperate climate, and while it possesses its share of glaciers and snow-peaked mountains it also boasts fertile pastures, sand flats, and glacial rivers.  Admire the mighty two-tiered Gullfoss Waterfall located in the canyon of Hvita, and enjoy a swim in the pleasantly warm, mineral-rich water of the famous Blue Lagoon.

In the capital city of Reykjavik, see important sites such as the 19th-century Parliament House, Austurvollur Square, and the Hofoi House.  Near Skogar, visit a nearby traditional horse farm to learn how Iceland’s horses are directly descended from those brought here by the Vikings and how Iceland is preserving this heritage.  Take a memorable boat trip floating among graceful icebergs, and perhaps take part in an optional whale-watching or “Super Jeep” glacier excursion.
